The Beauty Bag Has Changed

Losing interest in owning everything did not make me less beauty obsessed. It made me much more interested in what earns the space.

There was a time when part of the fun of beauty was simply having the new thing. New palette, new foundation, new lipstick, new launch. I still understand that thrill. I just do not automatically confuse new with necessary anymore.

My makeup bag now has to work harder. I care about how complexion products sit on skin that has lived a little. I care whether something survives a workday, whether the shade still looks good outside the bathroom, and whether I reach for it again after the launch excitement disappears.

Fragrance has become part of the ritual too. I like layering scents and treating perfume the way I treat an outfit: the first layer sets the direction, the next adds dimension and the last one leaves the impression.

That is the version of beauty I want on AURA. Still fun. Still a little excessive sometimes. Just edited by experience.
