5 stars · Sweet, emotional small-town hockey romance with a slow burn, found family and Knox absolutely ruining my standards.

Promises of Always gave me the warm, emotional side of romance I was craving. Knox and Teagan have a slow burn that lets the relationship breathe, and the single-guardian/falls-for-the-nanny setup adds stakes without swallowing the romance.

The found-family pieces were a huge part of why it worked for me. The town and relationships around the couple make the story feel lived in instead of like two people existing in a romance vacuum.

Five stars. Knox had me completely gone.
