Crown of Midnight

5 stars · The book where the castle story cracks open and the series starts revealing what it really is.

Crown of Midnight is where my questions multiplied faster than the book was willing to answer them.

Celaena’s relationships become messier, the danger stops feeling contained to a competition, and the secrets underneath the kingdom begin pushing their way to the surface.

What I loved was the sense that every revelation changed the meaning of something that came before it. The story was no longer just about an assassin serving a king. There was history here, magic here, and a much larger identity waiting underneath Celaena’s carefully constructed armor.

Five stars—and at this point stopping the series was no longer an option.
