By A Court of Wings and Ruin, there was no pretending I was casually reading this series anymore. I was IN IT.
The political maneuvering, shifting alliances, court dynamics and approaching war gave the world the scale I had been waiting for. Feyre isn’t simply reacting to Prythian anymore; she is making choices inside it, and those choices carry consequences.
What worked most for me was the emotional weight underneath the spectacle. The battles matter because the relationships matter. The alliances matter because we know what everyone stands to lose.
This was the book where my investment in the larger ACOTAR world became permanent. Five stars.
